The Pendleton District Commission Research
Room and Special Collections contains both primary and
secondary sources relating to the history of Anderson,
Oconee, and Pickens counties. Research materials include
local and family history books, genealogical reference
materials, cemetery surveys, photographs, and both family
and local history files that contain a variety of materials.
The archival collections include family and business records
from the tri-county area, historically known as the Pendleton
District.

The Research Room is temporarily located on the Pendleton
District Agricultural Museum on 120 History Lane in Pendleton
SC. The Research Room is open Monday-Friday by appointment

The Pendleton District Commission’s collections are made up of donations
from individuals and families. If you would like to donate family papers, research
