The mission of the Pendleton District Historical, Recreational and Tourism Commission is to collect, preserve and promote the rich history of Anderson, Oconee and Pickens counties and to promote economic development through tourism in the region. The Commission's historical mission includes a local history and genealogical research library, the Pendleton District Agricultural Museum, and stewardship of the South Carolina Century Farms program.
