Description:
Blue Ridge Arts Council's 19th Annual Juried Exhibition will open on Friday, January 15, in the BlueRidge Arts Center at 111 East South Second Street in Seneca near the library. Art to be shown will include a variety of two-dimensional and three-dimensional pieces created by artists from South Carolina and adjacent states. Those to be shown at BRAC will be selectted by North Carolina aritst and instructor, Karen White Chamber, a graduate of Western Carolina University, whose work is in various private collections and galleries in several states. For the fourth year, BRAC is partnering with the Seneca Woman's Club to offer an additional venue for artwork not chosen for the Juried Exhibition at the BRAC gallery. Many of these works may be seen in the "Salon de Refuses" at the Historic Ballenger House just two blocks away at 212 E. South Third Street. This sister exhibit will be open and run simulaneously with the BRAC Juried Exhibition through March 10. Gallery and "Salon" hours will be Monday through Friday from 1-5 p.m. and Saturdays from 12 - 3 p.m.
